Tanning

Making Waves has one stand-up tanning booth with 44 bulbs. Our Wolff "Eurobronze" bulbs are the newest technology, designed to deliver a "golden" tan instead of a "reddish" tan. Maximum session time is 20 minutes. During October 2005, we also installed a more powerful ceiling fan for client comfort. Please refer to the price list for our package deals. Most evenings we work late until after 7pm, so please don't hesitate to call and inquire about tanning availability. In addition, posted salon hours are extended during the "tanning season" beginning in January.

Making Waves displays handcrafted jewelry, soaps, hair accessories, and other selected items seasonally.

Employment

Making Waves' licensed professionals are Independent Self Employed Booth Renters. They each have their own 6 ft. lockable custom-built styling station with their own sink and locking rollabout. A fully-equipped private room is shared for doing pedicures, waxing, etc. A manicure table is also shared. Professional liability insurance is included, as well as free tanning. "Friends of Ginny" Cookbook

Proud sponsor of the "Friends of Ginny" cookbook. Proceeds of $13,255.00 was raised through the sale of 2,067 cookbooks and donated to the Virginia Jackson Academic Scholarship Fund. Scarborough High School Seniors interested in the scholarship should inquire at the Guidance Office.
